Greenlands water resources
Content
Greenland contains 10 percent of the world's freshwater reserves. Every day, enormous amounts of clean, fresh meltwater flow into the oceans around Greenland. Meltwater that comes from snow that fell on the ice sheet up to 100.000 years ago. When the ice sheet's glaciers calve, and when meltwater flows into the Greenlandic fjords and the Sea, there is great potential to collect and utilize the ice and water, which in many places is in such a pure form that it can be drunk directly from the stream.andressourcer
