To obtain a tourism license, the company must submit an application by completing the designated application form. 
You can only apply for a tourism license as a sole proprietorship if: 

  • You have a registered address in Greenland 

  • You are fully taxable in Greenland 

  • You have full control over your own finances and are not under bankruptcy 

You can apply for a tourism license as a company if: 

  • Your company is based in Greenland 

  • At least two-thirds of the capital is directly or indirectly owned by individuals who are registered and taxable in Greenland

  • At least two-thirds of the voting rights in the company belong to individuals who are registered and taxable in Greenland 

  • At least two-thirds of the participants in the company are registered and taxable in Greenland

For both sole proprietorships and companies, it is required that: 

  • You have a written safety plan for your business 

  • You have liability insurance or other form of financial security 

Note:
The requirement for tourism license does not apply if your company's total annual revenue does not exceed DKK 50,000.
