Conditions for Applying

To obtain an export permit, a company must submit an application by completing the application form. The following conditions must also be met:

• You must be a private individual residing in Greenland, or
• The exporting company must be registered in Greenland.

Please note:
Export of food products, such as fish or other edible goods, requires that the company and its production facilities be approved as a food business by the Veterinary and Food Authority of Greenland (VFMG).

When exporting animal products, the company may, under certain conditions, also need to be authorized by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and assigned an authorization number.

Companies exporting seal or seal products must obtain an Inuit Exemption Certificate for each shipment from the Ministry of Fisheries and Hunting.
